All lanes on Oldham Way (A62) are now fully open to traffic.
This major refurbishment project took longer than initially estimated because the structure was found to be in a very poor state when work started and required more repairs than anticipated.
Now this work is complete the contractors will focus on repairing the underside of Oldham Way – the bridges at Waterloo Street and Wellington Street.
We are looking to reopen Wellington Street fully in early May and Waterloo Street by mid-August 2024.
