This year Oldham Libraries and Gallery Oldham are teaming up with WWF and The Reading Agency for a very special nature-themed Summer Reading Challenge 2021 that will inspire children to stand up for the planet.

‘Wild World Heroes’ will feature amazing books, awesome rewards, ideas for taking care of our environment, as well as a programme of Covid-secure creative activities and fun events for the whole family over the summer holidays.

Throughout the summer children are challenged to read six books and collect incentives from their local library along the way.

For every two books read, children will receive a reading prize and two stickers to put in their Summer Reading Challenge passport, helping the Wild World Heroes to improve their town of Wilderville.

Once children have read all six books and completed the Summer Reading Challenge they will receive their Wild World Heroes gold medal and certificate.
