Enjoy traditional music and funky festive sounds at our spectacular annual brass band festival in Oldham town centre this Christmas.

With seasonal festivities in full swing, Brass Monkeys returns across Parliament Square and Oldham Parish Church – between 11am and 4pm – to make your holiday shopping even more pleasurable.

Popular tunes and joyful favourites will be played from the likes of the world-famous Black Dyke Band, the acclaimed Oldham Band and Bimingham’s Heavy Beat Brass Band, so don’t miss out and join in the fun.

Enjoy an array of brilliant local brass bands from Oldham and Saddleworth too, as they perform classic musical numbers throughout the day.

If you want to have a quick browse of the shops during this event, remember that Oldham has a wide variety of shops for you to explore. From the local shopping centre, to our independent retailers and traditional market, Oldham has everything ‘yule’ need this holiday season.

Be sure to grab something to eat on the day too in one of Oldham’s many delicious restaurants. With our great weekend parking offer you can make a real day of it.

If you’re planning on driving to Brass Monkeys, you can park for free for up to three hours on all Council-owned town centre car parks. To qualify for this offer you must take a ticket from the pay and display machine for the length of time you are intending to stay.
