Oldham Council has approved a new £500,000 fund designed to help local communities with capital projects.

The Local Improvement Fund, which will be launched soon, will allow people and organisations to work with their local ward councillors to bid into a £500,000 new funding pot.

Bids, which must be submitted by local councillors, will be decided on by a new cross-party group.

Cllr Sean Fielding said: "If you've got an idea or project in your community, then look out for the launch of the fund, speak to your local councillors, get an expression of interest in to us and together we can make a lasting change in every area of the borough."

Check out our video for more and stay tuned to all of our channels for the launch of the fund soon.
