What you need to do: Stay at home. Only go outside for food, health reasons or work (only if you cannot work from home). Stay 2 metres away from other people. Wash your hands as soon as you get home.

During the closure we have made the following changes:

Renewals

The maximum amount of renewals has been increased to 20 renewals per item.

Reservations

Existing reservations waiting to be collected will be available when normal service resumes, and new reservations are currently not able to be made.

Download Audio books and e-books

Use BorrowBox to browse, borrow and read or listen to ebooks and audio books anywhere and everywhere.

To download the app, go to the app store on your device, search for and download Borrowbox.

eMagazines and Newspapers

Read full digital copies of magazines for free from your computer, smartphone or tablet. Over 95 magazines are currently available covering everything from food to computers, and music to art.

Borrow an unlimited number of magazines to keep forever or delete when you want. 

You can use this service if you're a member of any Greater Manchester Library. Once registered, you will be automatically logged in to enjoy our content.

Getting started for new customers on your mobile device:

  • Download and open the RB Digital app to your mobile phone or tablet
  • Tap the “Register now” link on the bottom of the app’s main page
  • Choose your country
  • Choose your library service
  • Enter the requested library card details, create a memorable username and password

Getting started for new customers on your computer:

  • Go to RB Digital
  • Create a new account, and enter your library card number
  • Browse the selection
  • Checkout your chosen publications to read in your browser 
  • Online Newspapers using Pressreader

Follow these steps to create a new account with your library card:

  • Download pressreader app on your mobile
  • Click Sign In, and select Library Card
  • Choose your library from the drop down list
  • Enter the number printed on your library card together with your PIN 
  • That's it! Now you can open any of the titles offered by your library on PressReader

Online Reference

Reference material such as Health Information, Theory Test Pro and Encyclopaedias to name but a few from our online reference library.
