If you’d like to give your views on a range of issues affecting people in the borough or have your say on the way services and support are designed, why not join Let’s Talk Oldham, Oldham Council’s online consultation register?
As a member, you’ll be sent online questionnaires as and when we have something to consult about. These will be on a variety of topics and range from asking what you think about proposed services changes to your opinion about events that we’ve organised.
There’s no commitment; just fill in any questionnaires that interest you - and you can leave Let's Talk Oldham at any time if you decide it’s not for you.

Children's Services Directorate
Covers a wide range of services supporting children and young people, as well as their parents and carers. This includes children’s education early years, primary, secondary, Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and post 16 education, children’s services including children’s social care and safeguarding the Get Oldham Working Programme and Early Help Services.
Communities and Reform
Covers a range of areas including Elected Members, Human Resources, provision of services in district centres, heritage, libraries and arts, Youth Services, sports development and a variety of community projects.
Community Health and Adult Social Care Directorate
Covers areas such as carers, disability services, wellbeing services, adult social care, Sheltered and Supported housing.
People and Place Directorate
Responsible for Environmental Services, green spaces and other frontline services such as waste and recycling, highways and street lighting. Economic development, including regeneration, planning and housing also sits in this directorate.
The Unity Partnership
Unity Partnership is a wholly owned Company owned by Oldham Council. It provides a range of services including Customer Services and Contact Centre, ICT, Revenues and Benefits, Transactional Finance (Payments and Invoicing), Highways Engineering and Lead Local Flood Authority, Property Technical Services and Estates and HR Operations and Payroll.
Chief Executive Directorate
Covers areas such as the Chief Executive’s staff who help manage the Chief Executives affairs, Democratic Services who engage and work with elected members and legal staff who handle matters relating to the law. The Registrars Service also falls within the remit of this directorate.
