Laurel Bank Day Centre

Laurel Bank is a purpose-built day centre that aims to maintain and improve the quality of life for older people living in their own homes. The service is delivered by the MioCare Group.

It's a great place to meet others, eat together, socialise and participate in activities. It also provides support to relatives, friends and carers of service users.
The service is aimed at older people with functional mental illness and/or substantial to critical physical and/or sensory disabilities.
It is an assessed service, which means that it will only be offered to you if the service is appropriate to your needs and following a social work assessment.

Activities and facilities

The Centre has a hairdressing room (with a hairdresser visiting every Wednesday), bathroom, garden and comfortable lounge area. Service users are encouraged and supported to take part in activities including quizzes, themed events, memory sessions, baking, arts and crafts, jigsaws, board games and occasional themed events.
At lunchtime a choice of hot meals is provided and specialised dietary needs can be catered for.
Both cold and hot drinks are served with biscuits in the afternoon.

There is some (but limited) parking available for those driving to the Centre.
