Our Your Oldham campaign started in September 2016 with the following aims:-

  • To inform residents, staff and partners about Oldham’s co-operative agenda, promoting the fantastic initiatives taking place in Oldham, showing how people and organisations are doing their bit;
  • To encourage people to engage and connect with where they live, increasing the sense of belonging residents have to their neighbourhoods;
  • To inspire social action across Oldham’s communities, giving residents, partners, members and staff, the opportunity to think about they do their bit for Oldham.

During the campaign we held over 2000 co-operative conversations, receiving over 800 feedback cards in response to the question ‘What does Oldham mean to you?’ The campaign finished with the Your Oldham Festival, celebrating and showcasing the fantastic co-operative activities happening across Oldham. We have made a short video so you can see everything that happened during our week-long celebration! The Festival ran from Saturday 2 – Saturday 9 September 2017.
