  • The Genealogy Club currently meets at the Link Centre on the 1st Thursday of the month at 10.30am.

This group is run by the University of the Third Age.

Oldham Historical Research Group

Oldham Historical Research Group meet on the third Wednesday of each month, 7pm for anyone interested in local history. Upcoming talks include:

  • 18 Oct: The Women’s Peace Crusade
  • 15 Nov: The History of St Thomas’s Church, Werneth

Special event: 4 Nov Remembering Passchendaele

Featuring archives; a display; photographs and biographies of Oldhamers killed in action; and photographs of graves in Belgium
