Our services

Right Start

The Right Team is made up of a number of services, including Health Visitors, SEND practitioners, Right Start Assistants and Volunteers.

We Support families with children from pregnancy until they are five years old.

Services we offer

Health Visiting Services

Our Health Visitors can offer your support and advice on all aspects of your child’s health and wellbeing. Phone or call into the centre to see a Health Visitor.

Midwife Clinic

We offer regular midwifes clinic at the centre. Midwife clinic are held in the centre on Monday and Tuesday’s. To speak to a midwife on these day’s or to book an appointment, please contact the centre.

Stay and Play Group

We offer a number of regular play sessions for babies and children aged 0-5. See the timetable or contact the centre for more information.

Baby Clinic

Our weekly baby clinic is run by our Health Visitors and Practitioner’s. Come along to get your baby weighed and for any other information or support you may need.

Breastfeeding Support / Baby Bistro

Contact the centre to speak to a Health Visitor about Breastfeeding. Or call into one of our Baby Bistro Support Groups for information and advice about Breastfeeding.

Supporting Children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

If you are concerned about your child’s learning or development, please contact the Centre to speak to a Health Visitor for further advice or support.

Advice and Information

The centre can offer you free, confidential advice if you are worried about a member of your family or a friend. Just drop into the centre.

Following an inspection, children’s centres must complete an action plan to show how they will implement Ofsted's recommendations.

Getting here

From Manchester Road (A62) turn right onto Stanley Road, and then take the second turn on the right onto Derby Street. The centre and school are on your left.

From Broadway (A663) turn onto Whitegate Lane at the traffic lights, go over three small roundabouts taking the second exit at each. When you get to Stanley Road, go under the railway bridge and take the first turn on the left onto Derby Street.
