The centre offers a wide range of activities for parents and children aged 0-5, including early education, childcare, family support and parental outreach.

It also provides, child and family health services, lifelong learning and employment services for families with children under 5.

For babies aged 4-12 months, This is a 6 week communication and fun programme for you and your baby.

Baby bistro

This is a weekly breast feeding support group held on a Wednesday 10am till 12noon At PLAY (soft play Centre) Laurel Industrial Estate, Higginshaw lane, Oldham.

Baby clinic (Weigh and play)

This is a weekly clinic held on a Monday 1pm - 3pm at Oldham library, Greaves St, Oldham. Have your baby weighed at this clinic and discuss your baby’s progress with the Health visiting team.

Dental Health

  • Feeder Cups You can buy Tommee Tippee free flow feeder cups with 3 lids for only £1.20 from the Beever Children’s Centre.
  • Toothbrushes and Toothpaste You can buy toothbrushes and toothpaste from the centre - only £1.20 for 3 items (one item must be toothpaste).

First steps into learning with Real

Right Start

Supporting families with children from pregnancy until they are five years old.

Speech and language drop in sessions

Monthly drop in sessions held between 1-30 and 4pm on the last Monday of each month at Glodwick Health Centre, Glodwick Rd, Oldham.

For any parents/carers who may have concerns around your child’s speech and language.

Stay and play pre-school (for visually impaired Children)

A fortnightly group held on a Wednesday 12-30pm till 3pm where children can participate in fun activities to support learning and development through play.

  • Thursday 1-15pm till 2-45pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Arundel Street Clarksfield
  • Friday 1-15 till 2-45 at Beever children’s centre, Moorby Street, Oldham.

Where children aged 0-5 years can participate in fun activities to support learning and development through play.

Stop Smoking / Healthier Lifestyles

We can refer you for 1-1 support to help you stop smoking and/or lead a healthier lifestyle i.e. losing weight, exercise etc. Please contact the Centre for further information.
