St. James Children's Centre is situated in the grounds of St Thomas (Moorside) Primary School.

St. James is one of 3 children’s centres within the East Oldham District Children's Centre Cluster.

The District Leader is Julie Hayes.

Toy Library and Story Sacks

Why buy when you can borrow? We have a large selection of toys to suit ages 0 – 5.

Adult Education

We offer various courses to support you from personal achievement to Maths/English. Please call the Centre to make a booking or find out further information.

Stop Smoking/Healthier Lifestyles

We can refer you for 1-1 support to help you stop smoking and/or lead a healthier lifestyle i.e. losing weight, exercise etc. Please contact the Centre for further information.

Job Centre Plus

Are you thinking about returning to work? If you are unsure how it affects your benefit or you want support going into employment contact the Job Centre on 0845 604 3179.

Toothbrushes and Toothpaste

You can buy toothbrushes and toothpaste from the centre - only £1.20 for 3 items (one item must be toothpaste)

Feeder Cups

You can buy Tommee Tippee free flow feeder cups with 3 lids for only £1.20 from the centre.

From Ripponden Road turn into Coleridge Road, take the 3rd left onto Goldsmith Avenue then the 1st right onto Stevenson Drive, we are situated immediately to the right within the school grounds.

By public transport take the 83 bus which stops on Coleridge Road in front of St Thomas’ School. Turn onto Goldsmith Avenue at the side of the school, then first right onto Stevenson Drive. We are situated immediately to the right within the school grounds.
