Royton Children's Centre offers a wide range of activities for families with children aged 0–5.

The centre is one of two within the Royton, Shaw and Crompton District Children's Centres’ Cluster.

Antenatal Midwife Clinics

Babbling Babies

For babies aged 4–12 months, this is a six-week communication and fun play programme for you and your baby. Contact the children’s centre to book a place.

Baby Bistro

Weekly breastfeeding support group. Held at Shaw and Crompton Children’s Centre

Baby clinic

Have your baby weighed at this fortnightly session and discuss your baby’s progress with the health visiting team.

Little Talkers

A five-week programme looking at strategies to support your child’s speech and language development. Referral only (self-referrals accepted).

Play Together, Learn Together

For children aged 0 – 5years, these fun activities support learning and development through play.

Speech and Language

Monthly drop-in at Shaw and Crompton Children’s Centre for parents or carers who may have concerns around their child’s speech and language.

SPOONS (Supporting Parents Of Oldham Neonates)

Monthly session run by SPOONS for parents of Neonate children. Held at Shaw & Crompton Children’s Centre.

Getting here

From the centre of Royton (Market Square), the centre is about a 10 minute walk.

Turn right onto Rochdale Road and then turn left at Highbarn Street. Continue onto Blackshaw Lane between the health and beauty spa and off licence, and the centre is the first building on your left. It's set back off the street.
