Royton Children's Centre offers a wide range of activities for all families with children aged 0 - 5.

The centre is one of two within the Royton, Shaw and Crompton District Children's Centre Cluster.

The District Leader is Karen Bennett.

Free toy library and story sacks for your children.

Antenatal Midwife Clinics

Weekly clinics held at both Royton, Shaw & Crompton Children Centres – By appointment only.

Baby Bistro

Weekly breastfeeding support group.

Baby Club

0–18mths Exploring early child development in a fun and informal session.

Childminder Group

Open drop-in session for Childminders in the Royton, Shaw & Crompton District.

Courses

Range of courses delivered throughout the year from 1st Aid to EYFS, Baby Massage to Pregnancy Yoga – please contact the Centres for more information on what courses are available and to add your name to the waiting lists.

Little Wrigglers

0–18mths Fun and stimulating activities to support your child’s sensory and physical development.

Play Together, Learn Together

18mths–5years Fun sessions encouraging learning experiences within the home.

Stay and Play

0–5 years Fun activities supporting learning and development through play.

Speech and Language

Monthly drop-in for parents or carers who may have concerns around their child’s speech and language.

SPOONS (Supporting Parents Of Oldham Neonates)

Monthly session run by SPOONS for parents of Neonate children.

Following an inspection, children’s centres must complete an action plan to show how they will implement Ofsted's recommendations.

Getting here

From the centre of Royton (Market Square), the centre is about a 10 minute walk.

Turn right onto Rochdale Road and then turn left at Highbarn Street. Continue onto Blackshaw Lane between the health and beauty spa and off licence, and the centre is the first building on your left. It's set back off the street.
