The Right start team consists of Health visitors, Assistant Practitioners, AEN advisors and SALT assistants. We aim to work together with every child and family providing a range of services in the family home, children’s centre or local community venue.

Advice, support and information
If you are worried about your child, a family member or friend, phone our Hollinwood centre and speak to the duty Health visitor 0161 470 4346 for confidential, professional advice and support.
Antenatal and Postnatal clinics
Weekly clinics are held at Hollinwood Children Centre on a Tuesday and Thursday – by appointments made by your midwife. First booking antenatal appointments can be booked at Hollinwood Children Centre by phoning 0161 470 4346
Parent Education Courses are facilitated by your Midwives and can booked directly with them.
Baby/Toddler Play and Weigh Drop in Clinics
Universal drop in clinics where you can get your baby/child weighed and discuss any concerns about their health, growth or development.
Baby Bistro

Babbling Babies
For babies aged 4 – 6 months, this is a six week communication and fun play programme for you and your baby. Ask your Health Visitor to book you a place.
Little Talkers
This is a five week programme which will provide you with the strategies to support your child’s speech and language development. Self-referrals accepted, please contact the Children Centre to book a place.
Play Together, Learn Together
For children aged 0 – 5 years, these fun activities support learning and development through play, contact Hollinwood Children Centre 0161 470 4346 for more information.
Speech and Language Drop in Clinic
Monthly Drop in sessions held at Hollinwood Children Centre for parents who may be concerned about their child’s speech and language.
Home learning
If your child is 2yrs old and you are interested in getting them ready for learning, we can offer a 12 week programme in the home to help with school readiness

Getting here
Take Junction 22 from the M60 and follow directions for Manchester.
At the first set of traffic lights take a sharp left turn onto Hollins Road. At the roundabout continue straight on, over the bridge. Travel along this road for about half a mile and at the traffic lights turn right onto Limeside Road (Asda is on the corner). Continue along this road for about half a mile, over 3 speed bumps.
The centre is in St Chad's, a large building on the left.
Parking is available at the front of the building.
