In deciding whether an Environmental Impact Assessment is required for certain types of development, normally the local planning authority must 'screen' every application. The determination is referred to as a 'screening opinion.'

Proposal

Minor material amendment application to previously approved MMA/331905/12 of PA/58754/10 (1no. BDC picking warehouse and link buildings with associated car parking, landscaping, security and acoustic fencing and extended security lodge).

Amendments include:

  1. Reduction of the floor space of the pick-face warehouse.
  2. Relocation of the ‘welfare & office accommodation’ to the northern elevation of pickface warehouse.
  3. Reduction in length of the pickface ware house.
  4. Increase in size of service yard.
  5. Width of the link building has been reduced.
  6. Access road to/from the eastern car-park has been widened (resulting in no requirement for traffic signals).
