Complete and return to your supervising social worker.

Personal Education Plans (PEPs)
Complete as normal and send to the child or young person’s social worker prior to the PEP meeting, or bring the completed form along to the PEP meeting.
Oldham Community Leisure Active card
Oldham Community Leisure are offering all children in care and their carers a free Oldham Active Card. The card entitles the child or carer to significant savings on sport and leisure activities across all OCL facilities.
All you have to do is to complete the Oldham Active Card application form and return them to:
Participation Officer Looked after Children & Care Leavers,
Room 222 Youth Council Offices,
Looked After Children Reviews
Complete as normal and send to the reviewing officer in advance of the child or young person’s review.

Tax advice and National Insurance
As a foster carer you will need to register as self employed and complete a self-assessment for tax purposes. You will also need to register to pay class two National Insurance contributions to ensure eligibility for your pension.

If you have any questions about financial issues or there has been a change of circumstances that may affect your payments, contact your supervising social worker.
Forum and support groups
Foster care forum
The forum is a place for foster carers, staff and other professionals to discuss policies and issues.
You also get to meet other carers, share experiences and support one another.
