Applying for Planning Permission

In order to ensure the quick and effective processing of applications during this difficult period, it is recommended that you submit your application via the Planning Portal. 

If we have to contact you during the validation process, we will do so by email.

Please ensure that you provide a valid email address on your application form.

If we require any additional information, this must be submitted by email. 

If you do submit any information by post we cannot guarantee that it will be collected and allocated to the appropriate officer.

A site notice will be displayed at or near a proposed development site and notification letters will be sent out in the normal way.

Site visits

Planning Officers are still able to carry out site visits.

They will not however, be able to speak directly with the Applicant unless the social distancing rules can be strictly adhered to.

They will not be able to enter buildings.

They may therefore require additional information from Applicants/Agents which may include additional drawings or photographs.

Individual case officers will contact you directly if this is required and all information will be accepted by email only

Decision Notices

Decision notices will now be issued by email.

Planning Committee

Planning Committee meetings will be held virtually on 13, 21 and 27 May 2020.
