3. Emergency support
Emergency food for local people in crisis. Care professionals such as doctors, health visitors, social workers, CAB and police identify people in crisis and issue them with a foodbank voucher.
Foodbank clients bring their voucher to a foodbank centre where it can be redeemed for three days emergency food. Volunteers meet clients over a cup of tea or free hot meal and are able to signpost people to agencies able to solve the longer-term problem.

What you can do to help
Donate to foodbanks
Oldham Foodbank relies on the goodwill and support of the people of Oldham helping their fellow Oldhamers.
During these difficult times, donating is more important than ever. With families across our borough struggling financially, more and more of them are having to turn to foodbanks to get by.
By picking up a few extra items when you’re doing your shopping and donating them to Oldham Foodbank, you’ll be helping people less fortunate in your community.
