Gambling Policy Review

Oldham Council is currently reviewing its gambling policy, with the intention that any amended policy will become effective in January 2019.

The Council is consulting a range of bodies as part of this process including those that represent residents, local businesses, premises licence holders and other interested parties in the Oldham area.

Our Statement of Gambling Policy is a document we must produce by law. It sets out our approach to gambling licensing in Oldham. It gives clear guidance to licence holders, applicants and people who may comment on licence applications of our policies and expectations. We are legally obliged to have regard to our Statement of Gambling Policy when we make decisions on licence applications or reviews.

Our new draft statement of Gambling Policy 2019 is now available to download and we welcome your comments on the changes we are proposing to make.
