Local elections are taking place for Oldham Council on Thursday, May 3. 

One seat is being contested across each of the borough’s 20 local wards. 

There are also two extra seats up for election in Chadderton Central and Hollinwood, where voters have the choice of voting for up to two candidates. 

A total of 90 candidates are standing in these elections and you can view the details of these in the Statement of persons nominated.

You must be registered to vote to take part in these elections. The last day to be added onto the register of electors is Tuesday, April 17. 

You can register to vote online. Simply visit https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote

Polling stations are open between 7am and 10pm on May 3.


The Oldham Council website will be updated live with all the results as they come in from 10pm onwards on the day.
