Peshkar and Oldham Libraries present a series of free events celebrating all things digital. #YDF19

Join Oldham Libraries and Peshkar for a day of digital explorations and experiments with some of the best digital artists around. Here are just some of the events happening on the day…

  • Experience virtual reality
  • Try digital storytelling
  • Coding for under 5s
  • Digital drop in
  • An exhibition of brand new artwork from local professional and emerging artists
  • Workshops in photography, VJ-ing and GIF art

Plus much more. There really is something for all ages to enjoy. Booking is required for some events.

Young people aged between 5 and 25 can also achieve an Arts Award Discover certificate by attending and taking part in the festival.

Saturday 9 March Join theatre professional Hollie Wimpenny at Lees Library to complete a series of interactive challenges and help her create a new online treasure hunt for others to complete. 

Saturday 16 March Create your own ‘Glitch Art’ with digital artist Bridget Hines at Northmoor Library, 10.30am–12.20pm.

Saturday 23 March Create your own digital stories using app technology with the help of writer, theatre maker and VJ Ryan Gilmartin at Failsworth Library, 10.30am–12.20pm.
