Independent Remuneration Panel Position

The Council is seeking independent people to be on the Independent Remuneration Panel . The Panel will recommend to Council a scheme of allowances for members to compensate them for the work they undertake and the responsibilities which arise from their positions.

The applicant should have

  • Some knowledge and understanding of the work of the Council
  • An ability to assess information and identify key points and issues
  • Sound judgement and decision making skills with an ability to remain objective
  • The ability to analyse complex information provided to form a conclusion

The applicant must not be an elected member or officer of the Council .
