Description
Susan is an accredited network Childminder meaning she can look after children who can access the 2 & 3 year old free entitlement to early years provision.
All hours and prices negotiable with the provider. Sue is registered with OFSTED and graded Outstanding on her last inspection in 2017. She is continually working to improve outcomes for children by studying and improving practice. Sue has recently finished her Degree in Early Years. Sue is Vice- Chair of Oldham Professional Independent Childminder's (OPIC) and is continually training to improve outcomes for children and her practice.
All hours and prices negotiable with the provider
There is a reduction for two children on the hourly cost which is £7.00 per hour

How do you identify special educational needs and disabilities?
I identify SEND by keeping up to date with SEND training. By talking to parents, children and other professionals to identify needs. By keeping children's development files up to date so I can easily identify any areas of need.
How do you involve parents/carers?
I share good practise with parents including their child's Learning Journals on a regular basis.
How do you support a child’s learning and development?
I will help you support your child's learning and development by sharing with you their learning development file and also activities to help them reach their goals.
How do you meet a child’s educational needs?
By constantly updating their files and planning to meet their next steps.
How do we know my child is achieving agreed outcomes?
By comparing their learning with the EYFS

By making all activities, resources and the learning environment available for all children.

How do you involve children in outings and trips?
They will be included in trips to the library, toddler groups, parks, gardens, museums and many other places.
How do you work with other organisations?
I work with external agencies by seeking appropriate advice, by attending regular training and by sharing good practice with other childminders and professionals.
How do you support children when they start and leave?
I support them by having settling in days, information from parents and other professionals to help them settle in. When moving on to other settings I get photographs of the settings, have regular visits to help the children settle in easily.
How are you/staff trained in extra needs?
My daughter works alongside me and knows the children as well as i do, we work together to identified children's needs and to support them.
What is your policy on compliments, complaints, concerns?
Firstly you can contact me, I am very open minded and will listen to any complaints you may have and hopefully we can deal with them in that way. If you are not happy you can contact Ofsted who will deal with your complaint further.
