I feel its important to offer as many settling in sessions as possible,and get to know the child and parents so the child feels comfortable and confident before being left in my care. When they leave I support them to understand the transition by talking about next setting and taking them for visit where possible, I also pass on all up to date development and progress information.How are you/staff trained in extra needs?

I have a written complaints policy which is shown to parents before they start at my setting, I ask parents to discuss any concerns with me and try to resolve any issues, if parents have a complaint they feel they can not discuss with me they can contact Local Authority or ofsted
