Cost detailsThe cost of these properties is covered by rent. If you are on a low income, or in receipt of certain benefits, you may be entitled to Housing Benefit to cover this. You are required to pay £25.00 per week (as at November 2011) to cover gas, electricity and water. You will be expected to purchase your own television licence if you have a television in your room.
This scheme is part of Threshold's Women's Services. The scheme provides short term accommodation and medium support to single homeless women aged 16 to 60 years with a wide range of diverse needs.
AccommodationThere are 8 fully furnished self contained flats (6 x 1 bedroom, 2 x 2 bedrooms) in a small block. There is also a staff office and communal lounge within the building.
Staff availabilityThreshold staff provide support on site Monday to Friday, 8am-10pm, to between 2pm-6pm at weekends. The Oldham Women's Services staff team are available to provide support when not on site via the telephone Monday to Friday 8am-10pm and 10am-6pm at weekends. In emergency out of hours situations customers can contact a member of staff at the refuge.
