Description

In Oldham our contract with Oldham Council to provide IAG for 'targeted' young people means that we work in all secondary and special schools and colleges with young people who have a special educational need or disability.

We offer outreach and can work with communities as well as schools and Medtia Place.

We also offer a range of coaching and therapeutic support for SEND young people.

This is a varied programme and prices are available on request for schools, colleges or individuals.

Our work begins in Year 9 and can continue until a young person reaches the age of 25. We also work with those young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET). We make a contribution to the Education, Health and Care Plan for any young people who have one.

We work with any young people aged 13 to 25 who have a special educational need or disability (SEND). We offer information, advice and guidance to support young people at transition points and to prepare them for adulthood.

Our initial work involves close work with special and mainstream schools to identify such young people and agree the level of support that they (and their families) need from us.

There is an Adviser attached to every secondary and special school and college in the Borough and an Adviser atached to every ward for those not in education.
