Description

Counselling, advice and support for children and their parents.

Links with other organisations who can help, such as the health and education services.

Alternative care, such as family placement, respite and specialist placement.

The social work team is comprised of qualified social workers and family support workers whom have specific knowledge of the needs of children with disabilities.

The social work team provides assessment and care management services to children and young people under Section 17 of the 1989 Children Act.

The team promote a co-ordinated approach by working in partnership with families, health, education and independent providers to develop individual packages of support based upon meeting a child/young person's assessed needs.
