A prominent pedestrian and cycle footbridge over the Oldham Way, connecting residents from Werneth and surrounding areas with Oldham Town Centre, has undergone major refurbishment. The key improvements include: a high-grade stainless steel parapet replacing damaged glass panels; a new lit handrail and improved overhead lighting; and a clean and re-paint of the structure. It is hoped the improvements will encourage more users of the bridge due to the improved look and ‘open’ feel to the footbridge
