Translating our website into different languages
You can translate any of our webpages into one of 99 languages, 40 of which are spoken, using Browsealoud.
To do this click on the Browsealoud icon which will be in the top left hand corner of your browser:
This will reveal the Browsealoud tool bar:
Select the globe icon and then choose a language from the drop-down list:
To hear webpages read out loud click on the play icon:
Advice in other languages
Doctors of the World
Doctors of the World provide Coronavirus advice for patients in 60 languages.
The language files are in written and audio formats, to view in browser, listen to, or download for free.
Please note the guidance is based on the government’s advice and health information and is valid across the UK.

Leeds City Council
Leeds City Council has developed a set of videos to support key coronavirus messages in 11 different languages (Polish, Romanian, Urdu, Arabic, Czech, Punjabi, Tigrinya, Farsi, Slovak, Kurdish Sorani and Bengali).
There are three different videos focusing on:
Spot the signs - To help people spot the signs of coronavirus and give advice for households with possible coronavirus infection.
Hand-washing advice - How you can help stop the spread of viruses, like coronavirus, by practising good respiratory and hand hygiene.
Essential advice - Information for households with possible coronavirus infection. Please be aware this is an evolving situation and public advice may change.
