We are urging parents to back a borough-wide dental campaign that will help local children brush up on their tooth care. Our annual month of toothbrushing is back and from Thursday 1 November until Friday 30 November we want to get as many under-fives to brush their teeth as possible as part of our Big Brush campaign.

Earlier this year, Oldham had made the biggest improvement in Greater Manchester following a survey which measured the levels of dental decay in Oldham’s five year olds. The results showed that children’s oral health had improved by 16.1% since 2014.

To keep the momentum going, children’s centres and many nurseries will be running brushing activities throughout our Big Brush campaign and participants will be rewarded with brushing tools including toothpaste, toothbrushes, timers and charts.
