Shaw, Royton and Crompton Public Consultation
Between September 2006 and November 2006, a questionnaire was distributed in Royton, Shaw and Crompton by post, handed out on market days, through out both town cemtres, at a number of public venues and circulated to local secondary schools.
A staggering 1,585 questionnaires have been completed and returned, a return of approximately 25% of the questionnaires that were distributed. The Mayor of Oldham Councillor Bernard Judge presented two lucky winners of £50 shopping vouchers to Hilda Turner of Royton and John Ellis of High Crompton in the Mayors Parlour on Friday 27th October.
The information in the questionnaires has now been analysed in detail and a detailed report is available. This report was taken to the Shaw and Royton Area Committee on 30th January 2007. It contains information for each centre individually. A top line analysis for both centres is available.
