Licensing in Oldham

The Licensing Team is concerned with the provision of administering and enforcing a range of permits, registrations and licences covering over forty pieces of legislation.

It has two strategic objectives which are to:-

  • Promote Social Responsibility in Licensed Premises

  • Ensure safe passenger journeys, in safe licensed vehicles with safe licensed drivers

The statutory element of the service involves the processing of applications, licensing enquiries, consultations, hearings and enforcement.

If you wish to submit an application or make an enquiry our reception is open between:

9am and 3pm Monday
9am and 4pm Tuesday to Friday.

You can pay online by cheque made payable to Oldham Council or pay over the phone via our contact centre on 0161 770 6611 (option 2). Alternatively you can pay using your credit/debit card at our office.

You will soon be able to view our public register on line and search for current licensing applications. Watch this space for further updates.
