Oldham Economic Regeneration

The Council’s Regeneration Department offers a single point of contact for businesses seeking to establish, expand or relocate in the area. It has a responsive, well co-ordinated service, refreshingly free from bureaucracy. The Property Development and Investment Division can offer practical help and advice, including:

assistance in locating to a suitable site or premises;
potential sources of financial aid; and
property development and project management.

Economic and Business Liaison

The Economic and Business Liaison Officer helps local businesses to assess their current and future needs and to seeks their active participation in the creation of a more vibrant, diverse and sustainable Oldham Borough economy.

The liaison service provides essential contact between businesses and the Economic Partnership (the body responsible for the development and delivery of the Borough’s Economic strategy) by supporting the private sector and representing their views at partnership meetings.

The Economic and Business Liaison Officer visits companies and business forums, and works with economic partners as appropriate in order to facilitate a continuous dialogue between public, private and voluntary sector partners who impact on the economic prosperity of the Borough. Businesses are encouraged to make contact for chat about business growth, inward investment, workforce development or more generally to voice their views about the regeneration plans impacting on the private sector across the Borough.
