Uppermill Library

Uppermill Library's recent refurbishment has seen a number of improvements while retaining the building’s early Victorian features.

  • Land outside the building has been sloped to allow disabled access through the front door of the library
  • New, higher shelving has improved access to books on the lower shelves
  • A glass vestibule has been installed, helping to conserve energy and allowing the front door to remain open during opening hours for easier access
  • The library has been redecorated throughout
  • Two extra computers for adults and one for children have been installed
