Reports and Evaluations of Community Cohesion

This section features a range of Reports (including Inspection Reports and Conference Reports), Evaluations of Community Cohesion and other evidence of the impact of community cohesion activities. Some of these relate to specific schools/settings and/or projects/initiatives. Others are presented from a wider perspective.

• JAR Good Practice Case Study Evaluations of Community Cohesion Initiatives July 2008 - This document draws together a wide range of evaluations and reports on community cohesion initiatives led by CYPF Services and Local Authority Partners. It was part of the submission to the JAR Inspection Team.

• Oldham Community Cohesion Conference September 2008

• Social Responsibilty and community cohesion survey: 2008 - 09 - This is an OfSTED report of a pilot survey carried out in June 2008. The survey focused on the role of the Local Authority in supporting and challenging schools evidence provided through visits to four Oldham schools and the Oldham College.

• Inspecting maintained schools' duty to promote community cohesion: guidance for inspectors - From September 2008 Ofsted school inspections will include a focus on how well the school is doing in meeting the new duty to promote community cohesion. In preparation for inspection, schools may find useful the document 'Inspecting maintained schools' duty to promote community cohesion'.
