Oldham has been allocated monies from the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund (NRF) by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM). The fund is providing additional resources for Local Authorities in the 88 most deprived English districts, each working with and as part of a Local Strategic Partnership (LSP).
Oldham Council is working closely with other organisations throughout the Borough, and in particular the Oldham Partnership (its Local Strategic Partnership), to deliver the NRF Programme. The programme aims to provide sustainable improvement of mainstream services (i.e. Social Services, Education etc.) in the most deprived areas. This funding will bring long-term improvements in community safety, the environment, training, employment, education and health for people and communities in Oldham.
