Proposed timetable and activities-amended May 2007

The timetable for the activities necessary to prepare the Master Plan has been updated. (May 2007) It has been necessary to amend the timetable due to the volume of information received. Overall, a slip of 2-3 months is envisaged with overall publication of the master plan by April 2008, rather than February 2008. This revised timetable is to be considered to be more realistic.
Shaw and Crompton Town Centre Map
Following the consultation process, the map has been updated in November 2006 to include the Primary Employment Zone at the southern end of the centre, which more accurately reflects the boundaries on the ground.
Shaw has a large centre area and major roads and rail network define the boundaries. The town centre has key gateways and junctions provide good access into the town centre.
Royton has a small but compact centre area. Major highways define the boundaries and the key gateways are on the edge or just outside of the town centre.
