Vulnerable Adults Service

What is the Vulnerable Adults Service and who is it for?

The Vulnerable Adults Service gives support to people aged between 16 and 65 who need help with daily living and who have experienced three or more of the following:

  • You have had a lot of difficulty in living independently (for example you might keep getting asked to move out because you  haven't paid bills or have had other similar problems or you need to ask for help from others a lot)

  • You have been abused, hurt or harmed in the past

  • You have been abused, hurt or harmed by someone else

  • You have recently, seriously and deliberately harmed or hurt yourself.

  • You have a diagnosis of Aspergers Syndormw that may effect your ability to protect yourself  in the ways descibed above.

How to access the Vulnerable Adults Service

This service can be accessed through the Adult Duty and Intervention Service. You will be assessed and if eligble, referred to this service or other services as appropriate.
