Residential Care

A residential care home provides accommodation, meals and personal care for older people, people with disabilities, or people who are unable to manage at home, for whatever reason.

TheThe Monitoring And Review Team (residential and nursing home care) visit all service users in care homes at least three times a year to make sure the service is high quality, to provide support and protection and, on one visit, to formally reassess need.

The team makes sure that the physical care needs of service users continue to be addressed, and monitor the and review the effectiveness of services with service users, cares and other stakeholders.

They do this, whether the service user has a physical or mental health problem, provided their situation is stable. When this changes, the case will transfer immediately to a specialist worker or team for reassessment.
