Every Child Matters - Needs Analysis

Joint Strategic Needs Assessment

In conjunction with the Council’s Adult and Community Services Directorate and the Primary Care Trust, the Children, Young People and Families Directorate have produced a Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) of Health and Well Being in Oldham.

In relation to children and young people, the JSNA identifies the key issues around health and well being within the wider context of what life in Oldham is like across the whole population. The JSNA predicts what some of the key challenges facing Oldham over the next fifteen years are likely to be including a population growth within some of our most deprived areas and the implications for child poverty. The findings of the JSNA have informed priorities in Oldham’s new Children and Young People Plan and will also be used to drive wider plans and strategies in the future.
