The Lifelong Learning Service is able to provide free crèches to support many of our daytime courses. In order to ensure a place for your child and to assist us in staffing the crèches appropriately you will need to register your child(ren) when you enrol for your course.
A crèche will be provided subject to a minimum number of children attending. Places may also be limited to a maximum number of children. Please check before enrolling for your course since we do not offer childcare at all sessions.
Our crèches are open to children aged from six weeks to seven years. Appropriate play activities are provided in each crèche. You will receive a creche handbook.
If we cannot offer a crèche, the Family Information Service will be able to give you the names of local childminders who are registered with Social Services. If you are on a means tested benefit or a low income the Lifelong Learning Service may cover these costs through the Learner Access Fund. Learners are responsible for making their own childcare arrangements. Full fee payers can apply to the Learner Access Fund for help with childcare costs.
