Who we are

- Experienced therapists, who meet the physiotherapy needs of children in a child friendly
environment
We work in a variety of settings, hospital, special
schools, nurseries and the child’s home as required.
What we do
- We assess, advise, and treat children with a variety of conditions such as movement disorders,
developmental delay, fractures, soft tissue injuries and respiratory conditions.
- Obtain consent prior to assessment and treatment.
- Work closely with the child, parents and carers to address their concerns and work towards
shared goals.
- Provide specific treatment to meet the child’s physical needs.
- Give advice and support on physical care to families, carers and education staff in mainstream
and special schools.
- Liaise with or refer to other professionals involved in the child’s care.
- Advise on specialist equipment i.e. walking aids, wheelchairs, footwear and splints.
- Advise the Education Authority on the child’s Statement of Additional Educational Needs.
