Freedom of Information

In order to fulfil its functions effectively, First Choice Homes Oldham holds information in connection with its activities and in compliance with the law and the requirements of central government.

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 ensures that any member of the public will be able to apply for access to information (subject to certain exemptions) held by bodies across the public sector, including First Choice Homes Oldham.

The Office of the Information Commissioner is the enforcement body.

From the 1st January 2009 FCHO are adopting a new Freedom Of Information Publication Scheme.  This is currently being finalised and is available in hardcopy by contacting fcho.david.smith@oldham.gov.uk.  The new scheme will be posted on the website in the New Year.
