Registering to Vote

If you are a British or commonwealth citizen, a citizen of the Irish Republic or other EU state you are entitled to register to vote.

How to register

If you fill in a form we can add your name to the electoral register at your new address anytime throughout the year, with the exception of September to November. You must fill in and sign the form yourself. If anyone else in your house is eligible to vote, they must fill in a separate form. Copies of the registration form are available from the Elections Office.

When will my name appear on the register?

There are no monthly updates in September, October, or November when all households will receive a register of electors form to complete. The new Register will be published in December.
