Following its extensive refurbishment, Uppermill Library has just reopened.
The refurbishment has made great improvements to the library, whilst retaining the building’s early
Victorian features.
- The land outside the front door has been sloped to allow disabled access
through the front door of the library.
- New, higher shelving has improved access to books on the lower shelves
- A glass vestibule has been installed, helping to conserve energy and allowing the front
door to remain open during opening hours for easier access.
- The library has been redecorated throughout.
- Two extra computers for adults and one for children have been installed.
