My name is Melanie Coffey and I am a mother of one child. I have lived in Hathershaw / Fitton Hill for 8 years. I have been involved with NDC for the past 5 years. I am a member of the neighbourhoods Together Team and I am involved in the Youth Forum and NDC’s First Youth Bank. My week is also spent as a volunteer helping with one of the brownies groups, being a parent volunteer for Fitton Hill Junior Youth Club and helping in one of our local primary schools. I am standing for election as I feel our community has a lot of potential to grow and flourish and I would like to help our community on that journey. Our community is a place to be proud of and protect. I see Hathershaw / Fitton Hill as a vibrant, positive gateway to Oldham with a community having pride to live and work here. Should I be elected, the management Board will have my honesty, commitment and respect for any decisions made and I will continue to have an open mind as well as bringing my experience and knowledge of how our community is changing.
