My name is David Patterson: I am 60 years of age, married to Sylvia for almost 40 year’s, I have two children and three grandchildren. I’ve lived in the area for almost 40 years. 12 months ago I helped set up a Residents Association which now has 200 members. We are a diverse area with people from different background and in august we are holding a street party to bring everyone together and celebrate the area following the setting up of the Residents Association. New doors have opened up for me, recently I was appointed chair person of Medlock Community Council and chair person of the TNT. TNT is a group of residents working with senior officers and community to develop community agreements helping residents understand the services and also the roles of us: the resident. My involvement in these projects has taught me a lot about community problems and roles of the public services and solving community problems.

I would like to stand for election to continue making a difference for the community of N.D.C.

I feel I can help bring people together offer support and understanding. I feel chairing the different meeting has given me greater knowledge.
