Oldham's Adoption Service is committed to supporting you throughout the adoption process and for as long as necessary, as adoption is recognised as a life long process. Adopters today are mostly caring for children who have been removed from their birth families and spent time in foster care before joining their permanent family. In recognition of this we provide a variety of services, for example we offer 12 months paid membership of Adoption UK (a national charity run by and for adoptive parents), training and support groups are available throughout the year. We also offer a Mon-Fri duty service 9-5pm.
Please see our pages about Adoption Support Services for more information about what we offer.
You may never need these services but we will be there if you do. You can contact us at anytime over the years.
