The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out how the Council will engage the community in preparing the Local Development Framework and in the consideration of planning applications.
The SCI was adopted by the Council on 18 April 2007.
The Council’s Vision for the SCI is to “enable, empower and encourage all residents and other stakeholders of Oldham Metropolitan Borough to actively participate in the planning to improve their Borough”.
The SCI covers the whole Borough except that part which falls within the Peak District National Park.
The SCI can be viewed at Civic Centre Planning Reception Level 12, Civic Centre One-Stop Shop, Oldham Business Centre and public libraries.
