The Local Development Framework (LDF) is Oldham’s new spatial plan that will eventually replace the current Unitary Development Plan. We are preparing Oldham’s Joint Core Strategy and Development Management Policies DPD which will set out a long-term spatial vision, strategic objectives, a spatial strategy, strategic sites, policies and a monitoring and implementation framework and which will set out policies that will manage development. Here in Oldham, the Core Strategy and the Development Management Policies DPD will be prepared as a single DPD. We have undertaken 3 stages so far in preparing the Core Strategy.
Issues Survey - We undertook an informal Issues Survey as the first public step in engaging the public during March/April 2007.
Issues and Options - During autumn/winter 2007/08 we consulted on the Issues and Options stage.
Preferred Options - During Spring 2009 we consulted on the preferred option stage.
Time Line for Core Strategy is shown here. Anticipated dates may be subject to change which will be notified on this website.
